Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information the Kindred Spirit website (kindredspirit.band) collects, why, and who we share it with. The short version: we only collect what we need to run the site and fill your orders, we share it only with the services that make those things work, and we never sell your data or run advertising.
Who we are
The Kindred Spirit archive and shop are operated by Western PA Photos (“we,” “us”). You can reach us about anything on this page at peter@westernpa.dev.
What we collect
When you place an order
- Your name, shipping address, and email address
- What you ordered (product, size, colour, quantity)
- We do not see or store your card number — payment details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe (see below).
When you share a memory, use the contact / contribute form, or email us
- Your name and email (if you provide them), and whatever you write or upload (text, photos, audio).
Automatically
- Basic, privacy-respecting usage counts (e.g. page views) so we can see what’s popular. No third-party advertising trackers.
- Your shopping cart is stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
How we use it
- To process, fulfil, and ship your order, and to send you order updates.
- To run, maintain, and improve the site, and to moderate the fan memory wall.
- To respond to messages you send us.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the services we use to operate the shop and site — never with advertisers, and never for sale:
- Stripe — processes your payment. Your card details go directly to Stripe. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Gelato — prints and ships your order on demand; receives your name and shipping address so it can be delivered to you.
- Resend — sends your order confirmation and shipping emails; receives your email address.
- Our hosting provider — stores the site and order records on our behalf.
Each of these receives only the minimum it needs to do its job.
Payment security
All card payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor. We never receive, see, or store your full card number.
How long we keep it
- Order records are kept as long as needed to fill the order and for our accounting / tax records.
- Memory-wall submissions are kept as part of the archive (with your consent when you submit them) unless you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — including removing a memory-wall submission — by emailing peter@westernpa.dev. If you’re in a region with data-protection laws (such as the EU/UK or California), those rights apply to you here.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes to how we handle order data will be noted on the shop.
